The beautiful weather, views, and of course golf courses, make this one of the most pleasant places to play golf in the world. The mildness of the climate, with a very high percentage of sunny days in the year, makes playing golf a pleasure from January through to December. Where can you play? Well, at last count there were at least 20 golf courses located nearby. On this page, we'll try to give you a taste of the golfing delights that lie in store, by giving a brief review of the four nearest golf courses. For more information visit our links page.

The apartment is located on Los Naranjos Golf Course (beside is a photo of the 14th hole from the apartment). It is a great course with top class facilities. Famous course designer Robert Trent-Jones considers this to be one of his best creations. He has certainly sculpted 18 wonderful holes out of the Andalucian landscape. The course is Par 72, and measures 6437 metres from the white tees, 6038 metres from the yellows, and 5143 metres from the red tees. The course was built through an Orange Grove (hence the name).

The first nine is set out on broad sweeping fairways, with small contours and various hazards (plenty of water and sand) providing a good challenge. The second nine is flatter, but no less of a challenge.

This course is also located close to the apartment, in el Valle del Golf de Marbella. Aloha Golf presents a good challenge to all golfers. The course is quite hilly with narrow wooded Fairways, so there's a premium on accurate shots. The Greens are large but there are plenty of humps and hollows to challenge even the most assured putters. This is a great course - tough yet enjoyable. It has an 18 hole loop (par 72) as well as a 9 hole par 3 course. The course measures 6246 metres from the white tees, 5936 metres from the yellows, and 5167 metres from the reds.

This 18 hole course provides plenty of opportunities for getting wet. There are ten artificial lakes, providing tough and uncompromising hazards. Las Brisas is quite American in its parkland layout and, like Los Naranjos, was designed by Robert Trent jones. As such it provides a complex, but enjoyable, challenge. The golfer must plan his or her way around this course to achieve a good score. Accuracy is more important than distance here. The course measures 6163 metres from the white tees, 5893 metres from the yellow tees, and 5096 from the red tees.

Designed by the famous Spaniards, Manuel Pinero and Antonio Garcia Garrido, Las Brisas is made up of three 9 hole courses. The course is not long but is well-designed, technically challenging, and enjoyable to play. The fact that it is one of Spains busiest and most popular courses is testament to its quality.
